We know it can be intimidating to start a yoga practice. Our intention is to give you a solid foundation from which you can continue a healthy and safe yoga journey. Each week we will cover different themes along with how to get in and out of postures safely, proper breathing techniques, and how to maintain a peaceful state of mind.

Alex, ERYT 200, director and co-founder of Yoga Nook, has over 6 years of teaching experience. In addition to the many classes she teaches at the Nook, she also teaches therapeutic yoga to children and adults with special needs. Alex has been an educator for over 20 years. Holding space for her students to explore and experience the unfolding of their personal practice is the most gratifying aspect of teaching.
Natasha, co-founder of Yoga Nook, has over 500 hours of training, 300 hours in therapeutic yoga and over 10 years of teaching experience. She has been teaching several different styles of yoga in the Hampton Roads community since 2008. She loves to share her knowledge of yoga with others.
