After running several miles on a concrete road in Bogotá, Alejandra found herself barefooted doing several stretching poses at a local park. After a couple of minutes she felt instant relief not knowing she was practicing Yoga. Ever since that experience at the park Yoga has been part of her life. Soon enough Alejandra began to enjoy the physical benefits of the practice but it was the inner peace and connection she felt within herself that made her aware that yoga was more than a set of postures.
Alejandra holds a BA in Language and Humanities and taught for many years in the classroom where she introduced yoga to her students. Today, her practice has become a life journey and a path to personal transformation. She believes that everyone’s journey into yoga is unique but can be shared as a way to recognize our common humanity.
Holding the space for her students to explore and experience the unfolding of their personal practice is the most gratifying aspect of teaching. During her free time, she loves to read, write, and laugh with family and friends.
