Acro Skills and Conditioning
Acro Yoga is a fun community focused activity that builds flexibility, strength, and coordination. This 1.5 hour class will focus on acro poses, transitions, and techniques. We will begin with warm-up and conditioning building toward our skill theme. Learning the foundational skills of spotting, flying, and basing will give you a practice that builds on safety, trust, and connection.
Prior experience helpful but not required. No partner required, we all support each other in the acro community.
Requirements: Open heart, Open mind, ability to smile and laugh with others.
After the class there is an hour of optional jam time to practice what you learned. Jam is included with class, $5 jam for non-attendees to play.

Intro to Inversion Workshop
This inversion workshop will focus on finding your roots and growing your practice from the ground up. Integrating the proper engagement, bone stacking and safety will lead to successfully defying gravity. We will explore techniques to strengthen, build confidence, and get your feet in the air. Participants will be supporting each other as we navigate through the poses. With continued practice and patience, the fundamentals from this workshop will start you on your journey to comfortably practice Inversions.
Some yoga experience suggested but not required.

6 Week Beginner Yoga Series
At Yoga Nook we cater to beginners, knowing how intimidating it can be to walk into a yoga studio for the first time. We have developed this Beginner Series to guide you through poses, breathing, and philosophy in a safe and fun environment. Our goal is leave you feeling confident to continue your yoga practice.
- Learn foundational poses and proper alignment
- Integrate your breath and release stress
- Increase strength, stability & flexibility
These classes build on each other, creating a solid foundation from which you can progress in any of our other beginner classes. Modifications will be given to fit your needs.

July 15 - August 19th
You will receive a manual with the poses, breathing exercises and other valuable resources to help support your practice.

Alex is the Nook's program director and she is passionate about teaching yoga. She finds great joy in witnessing all her student's growth and is constantly inspired by their practice.
