What are the benefits of yoga?

Increases flexibility, lubricates joints, ligaments and tendons, detoxifies, tones the muscles, reduces stress, promotes body awareness, increases mental calmness, you will experience better sleep, and expands the breath.

I'm not flexible, can I do yoga?

Yes! Yoga is not about touching your toes. Through the consistent practice of yoga you will gradually improve your flexibility. Yoga is about developing self awareness and being comfortable with where your are in your practice that day. "It's not important how deep you are in a pose it matters who you are when you get there." ~Max Strom

What is Vinyasa?

Vinyasa means "to place in a special way," by making the action of your breath encourage movement. It is sometimes referred to as a "Flow," which means poses are linked together in sequences. It promotes muscle tone and flexibility of the joints, increases cardiovascular and respiratory strength while clearing the body of toxins, leaving you feeling calm and centered.

What is the meaning of Namaste?

Namaste is a gesture by bringing your hands together in front of your heart. It is a way to acknowledge we are all one. It has many meanings, one we like is "the light in me honors and acknowledges the light in you".

Why do we AUM/"OM"?

A way to acknowledge a connection with our practice and everything around us. It is completely voluntary, you may choose to join in or simply listen.
